How consignment works at Encore
Have a closet full of clothes you’re no longer wearing? Turn them into cash with Encore! We make consigning simple while giving your gently loved pieces a chance to find a new home.

Not Saturday. The shop is open Saturday, but we don’t take consignments that day — Tuesday–Friday only.
Please plan to stay while we look through your items. Anything we don’t select goes back home with you the same day.

How it works
Bring us your best, current women’s clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories during our consignment hours.
Consignment days: Tuesday–Friday, 10 AM – 4 PM
Limit: We will look at up to 30 items per person, per day.
Please plan to stay while we look through your items. We’ll select the pieces that are the best fit for Encore based on condition, style, season, brand and what our customers are currently shopping for. Any items we do not select will go back home with you.
Once accepted, we take care of the rest! Encore prices, tags, displays and sells your items.
Your items are consigned for 3 months, and you receive 40% of the selling price when an item sells.
At the end of your consignment period, you have a 15-day grace period to pick up any money owed to you or retrieve unsold items. Consignors are responsible for keeping track of their contract dates. After the grace period, remaining items become the property of Encore.
Where your pieces end up
On the floor on the Square, and on this site. Anything we list online gets photographed, priced and put in front of shoppers who can reserve it and come collect it — including the Eureka Springs weekend crowd who’d never otherwise find it.
What we’re looking for
We want pieces that make someone say, “I would wear that today!”
We accept

- Jeans, pants & skirts
- Dresses
- Jackets & seasonal outerwear
- Athletic & casual wear
- Shoes, boots & sandals
- Handbags & purses
- Quality jewelry & accessories
We look for items that are current, stylish, gently used to like-new and generally purchased within the last few years.
Because Encore is a curated boutique, we may occasionally pass on an item even if it meets our guidelines. Our selections are based on current inventory, customer demand, season and available space.
Items we do not accept
To keep Encore’s inventory current and easy to shop, we do not accept:
- SHEIN
- Formal wear
- Underwear or bras
- Swimsuits
- Maternity clothing
- Pajamas or robes
- Skinny jeans
- Costume jewelry
- Heavily worn, damaged or outdated items
- Items with stains, holes, odors, pet hair or excessive pilling
Certain seasonal items are only accepted during specific times of the year, so please watch our Facebook and Instagram pages for seasonal consignment updates.
Before you bring your items
Please give everything a quick inspection at home and bring us your best 30 pieces.
Items must be:
- Freshly laundered
- Clean and wrinkle-free
- Free of stains, holes and excessive wear
- Free of smoke, perfume or other strong odors
- Free of pet hair
- Current in style
- Ready to go straight onto the sales floor
Shoes should be clean and free of dirt, and jewelry should be in good condition and good quality.
Please do not bring clothing in trash bags.
A note about brands
Brand matters, but it isn’t the only thing we consider.
We’re looking for brands and styles that have good resale demand with Encore shoppers. Even a brand we normally love may be passed on if the piece is outdated, overly worn or we already have too many similar items.
Likewise, acceptance can change as trends and customer demand change.
Brands we do not accept
SHEIN is not accepted at Encore.
We may also pass on very low-priced fast-fashion brands, inexpensive discount-store brands, unbranded clothing and other labels that historically do not resell well for us.
